The Lasallian community of the La Salle Retreat Center contributed $3,000.00 to the Katrina effort coordinated by the National Office, Landover Maryland. Locally,  they were able to assist several families which had relocated to the St. Louis area from New Orleans by making furiniture available to them.  The retreat center was to receive a significant amount of furniture as a donation from the Drury Inns. With the full support of Tim Drury, the newly arrived families were given first choice of the furnishings.
