This is a group of predominantly, but not exclusively, students in schools that are or were staffed by De La Salle Christian Brothers now known as Lasallian schools. Throughout the world, the Lasallian Youth Movement revolves around three components: faith, service and community. Information concerning Lasallian Youth is posted in this section.
Snow Greeted Deans
Deans of Students Gathered February 12 through 14.
...very reinforcing of our mission...
Mounds of Minnesota snow and Lasallian hospitality greeted 14 Deans of Students from 10 high schools throughout the Midwest District as they arrived at De La Salle High School for the annual Deans’ Gathering. The Twin Cities’ Lasallian High Schools, De La Salle, Cretin-Derham Hall and Totino-Grace hosted this year’s event.
Time was divided between tours of the host schools, a luncheon at the San Miguel School of Minneapolis and discussion of the modern issues faced by deans of students. Camera/cell phones and the promised confidentiality of student journals headed up the list of new and challenging problems.
Special thanks to the host schools, the De La Salle High School Brothers Community and the planning committee of Brother Robert Walsh, Rob Ryden, Jeff Ferguson, Isreal Moses and Dave Nigon. All look forward to Lasalle,Cincinnati in 2005.

A State of the Arch Experience
...administrators to meet in St. Louis ...
De La Salle at St. Matthew Middle School and Christian Brothers College High School will host elementary school, middle school and high school administrators from throughout the Midwest District during the Administrators Gathering 2004 to be held in St. Louis, March 21-23.
Presentations are planned to include: A Report from the 4th Midwest District Chapter; creative ways to present themes from the Midwest District Congress on Lasallian Mission to a faculty, and an introduction to the On-line Lasallian Curriculum. The planning committee is also arranging for Mongisnor John Unger to speak on the topic of Maintaining the Catholic Identity of Ministries. The administrative team from St. Louis University High school will participate in a panel discussion regarding the implications of increasing diversity at the administrative level.
Tours are planned for the Ville’s De La Salle Middle School as well as the new Christian Brothers College High School campus. Time will also be set aside to visit the state-of-the-art Information Technology Program that is now in place at Christian Brothers College High School.

Cost: There is a registration fee of $115.00 per person. Make the check payable to the Christian Brothers of the Midwest.
Hotel costs are the responsibility of the participant or ministry.
Time: The Gathering will begin on March 21, 2004, at 5:00pm with Mass in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Star on the CBCHS campus.
The Gathering will conclude on March 23 with lunch at 11:00am.
