The US/Toronto Region of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools is blessed with a wealth of resources that enhance the Lasallian educational experience and the vocation ministry of the De La Salle Christian Brothers, while inspiring all who are a part of the Lasallian family. In June 1995, the Regional Education Service Board undertook the task of identifying all available Lasallian resources for use by school administrators. Lasallian Shareware, created by the Midwest District in 2000, represents a continuation of that endeavor. In the past several years, Districts and schools in the US/Toronto Region have developed individual web sites, many offering such resources to their communities. In April 2001, the Regional Education Board approved the consolidation of Lasallian resource materials onto the Christian Brothers Conference web site, to provide a central location for online resources in the US/Toronto Region. Most materials are downloadable; ordering information for others is available. Existing Lasallian web sites, whenever possible, direct visitors to Shareware for access to valuable materials for their schools, apostolic works, and Brothers' communities. Additional resources continue to be added frequently. Submissions are welcome.

Shareware contains art, power point presentations, articles, prayer services, videos, publications, and more - all of which are specific to the heritage of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and the Lasallian educational mission. These resources are made available through Shareware to Brothers, Partners, and all who have an interest in the work of Lasallian education and formation. The Lasallian Shareware name accurately describes its inherent philosophy - to bring the Lasallian family together across the US/Toronto Region through common prayer, symbols, and publications that touch the hearts of all who participate in the mission of the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
