STEP 1: Locating Your DNS
To ensure that users can access your website, after April 17th, 2011, it is necessary that your Domain Name Services (DNS) settings are up to date. This includes the IP address listed in the DNS records specific to your website. If you do not know where your DNS records are held, use any online "who is" lookup, such as http://allwhois.com/
There you will need to type in your domain name and click the Search button: (see Example A)

As part of the who is lookup, you should then see information related to the DNS which include registrar and/or DNS nameserver settings (see Example B):

PLEASE NOTE: If your Domain Services point to any NETTICA.COM record, such as DNS1.NETTICA.COM, DNS2.NETTICA.COM or DNS3.NETTICA.COM, as shown above YOU WILL NOT NEED TO MAKE ANY DNS CHANGES, CB Programs will make those changes prior to April 17.
STEP 2: Editing Your DNS
- Go to your domain name registrars' website and log in to your account. (Your registrar is the place where you purchased your domain name). If you do not know where your domain name was registered at, you can find your Registrar in the same screen you found your DNS record. (see Example C.)
- Find and edit the DNS Record of your domain name. These are often referred to as "A Records". This is where you will find the IP address. Since your account is hosted with us you will see a 12.39.24.XXX record.
- Edit the IP address so the first set of number read 209.41.115.xxx. (The last three numbers should remain the same) For example, if the IP address in your DNS A record is listed as 12.39.24.172, you will need to edit that to read 209.41.115.172.

DNS A RECORD EXAMPLE:
DNS settings contain "A" records which includes an IP address where your domain needs to be pointed. Our example (see Example D) contains an old IP (12.39.24.172). Your Domain Name or DNS control panel may look different than the example provided below.

Click the Edit button or Edit function next to that record and edit all but the last three numbers of your IP address. For example, if the IP address in your DNS A record is listed as 12.39.24.172, you will need to edit that to read 209.41.115.172. (see Example E)

This IP must be edited to 209.41.115.xxx (remember: the last three numbers should remain the same) by Sunday, April 17, 2011. Otherwise, your website may not be available to users after this date.
