Christian Brothers Services Tuition Refund Program protects schools from the financial consequences of a student's forced or voluntary withdrawal prior to completion of the term or school year. This program pays benefits to the school, subject to the term, conditions and limitations of the Plan and provides substantial assistance in allowing the school to either cancel the parent's unpaid tuition obligation or refund the unused portion of tuition.
Benefits include:
- 100% of covered tuition for medically necessary withdrawals, withdrawals due to epidemic closure, death of a student, death of a tuition payer, and medical withdrawals due to mental & nervous disorders.
- 75% of covered tuition for withdrawals due to the involuntary unemployment of the tuition payer*, academic dismissal* and disciplinary dismissal*
- $5,000 benefit for accidental death of a student
Optional ‘a la carte’ Benefits:
- 75% of covered tuition for withdrawals due to the job transfer of a tuition payer*
- 60% of covered tuition for voluntary withdrawals
*Subject to a 14-day waiting period.
The Coverage term is from the start date of classes to the ending date of classes.
Plan Options available:
Compulsory: All students are covered. Premiums are paid by the institution and may be included in tuition fees.
Mandatory: All students are covered. The tuition is paid to the school by a tuition management
contract or on an installation plan. When the tuition is paid in full before school begins, tuition refund coverage is optional.
Voluntary: Parents are given the option to purchase coverage utilizing online enrollment.
