Christian Brothers Services Fundraises for Prostate Cancer Research

Romeoville, IL, August 23, 2010 - Employees from Christian Brothers Services participated in a Prostate Cancer Research fundraiser for a fellow employee. CBS employees together raised a grand total of $773.50 by organizing a jeans day and split the pot event. In addition to the events of the day, many other employees also contributed via personal donations.

On Friday, August 20, employees paid a $5 fee to wear jeans to work. That same day many employees also participated in a split the pot event in which they bought six tickets for five dollars, or one ticket for one dollar.

“I loved the fact that the fundraiser was for a fellow employee, and made it that much more of a great fundraising event,” said Wendy Kirkland, senior administrative assistant in the Christian Brothers Employee Benefit Services. “It’s great how everyone came together and showed they cared.”

All of the money raised from jeans day contributions, split the pot event, and personal donations went to the Athletes for a Cure Prostate Cancer Foundation.
