Christian Brothers Services Announces the New Position and Hire of a Chief Investment Officer

Romeoville, Ill., July 10, 2017 - Christian Brothers Services (CBS) announced today the addition of a new position to its senior management team. Steve Sliwinski has assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO), with the primary responsibility of managing and overseeing CBS’s investment programs.

Sliwinski comes to CBS with more than a decade as an investment consultant to corporations, Catholic Dioceses, and other not-for-profit entities -- where he advised on all aspects of institutional investment programs. The CIO serves as a fiduciary and develops, implements and directs portfolio strategy and is the lead in-house advisor to the Christian Brothers Employee Retirement Plan (CBERP), Christian Brothers Risk Pooling Trust (CBRPT), Christian Brothers Employee Benefit Trust (CBEBT), Christian Brothers Religious Medical Trust (CBRMT), Christian Brothers Retirement Savings Plan (CBRSP), and the Christian Brothers Charitable Trust.

Sliwinski holds degrees in finance and economics from Illinois State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the CAIA Association.
