Christian Brothers Services supports local charitable organizations

Romeoville, Ill., December 20, 2019 - Christian Brothers Services (CBS) and its employees came together to spread a little goodwill and support their local communities over this holiday season.

From raising funds through company bake sales and sponsored events to collecting donations for food, coat and toy drives, CBS employees contributed to a variety of organizations throughout Will County.

“It is the Lasallian way of the Christian Brothers to respond to those in need and it is uplifting to see our employees, time and time again, rally together and recognize the importance of supporting the area in which they work,” said CBS president and CEO, Brother Michael Quirk, FSC, Ed.D. “The work of these local agencies is inspiring and we are thankful to be a small part of their endeavors, and encourage others to lend their support as well.”

CBS adopted two families for the Stars of Hope program organized by the Morning Star Mission in Joliet, Illinois, fulfilling more than 150 gifts on both their needs and wish lists. The program provides gifts to hundreds of families and individuals. Each holiday season, they provide 12,000 Christmas gifts to more than 500 families in need.

Catholic Charities is always in great need of winter clothing. With a month-long coat drive, CBS employees collected numerous bags of donations and more than $2,000 in monetary donations.

With its mission for no man, woman or child to go hungry, the Harvest Saturday food drive held in Romeoville also received nearly $1,500 in monetary donations and more than 20 boxes of food from CBS employees.

The company and its employees remain motivated to continue its support throughout the coming New Year.
