Christian Brothers Services to present at 2018 National Catholic Development Conference

Romeoville, Illinois, Sept. 5, 2018—In keeping with its commitment to share best practices, Mary J. Foley from Christian Brothers Services will be presenting at the industry’s top conference on ministry fundraising, the 2018 National Catholic Development Conference and Exposition, to be held Sept. 15 through Sept. 19 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

Foley, managing director of Catholic School Management and Mission Advancement at CBS, will present, "The Art and Science of Strategic Conversations – Telling Your Story with Confidence," from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18. This session will identify ways to spot potential donors and cultivate lasting relationships that garner the awareness, appreciation and funding organizations seek.

"The leaders, staff and volunteers of our ministries and organizations are all called to be mission ambassadors," said Foley. "This workshop will share tools and strategies to make that a comfortable and rewarding experience."

Foley also will facilitate a round-table session at 10 a.m. Sept. 17, titled "Upgrading Donors to Higher Levels of Investment."

Foley brings more than 35 years of experience to the not-for-profit world and offers a wealth of strategic leadership skills and insights to the educational, religious and social service arenas. Foley has worked with hundreds of not-for-profits, internally as a director of development, at the board level, and through a wide variety of consulting engagements. She has raised hundreds of millions of dollars through capital campaigns, annual fund appeals and ever-expanding advancement initiatives for organizations large and small.

The NCDC is the United States' largest membership association of charitable religious fundraisers. For 50 years the organization has gathered as a fundraising community to network, learn, share, play and pray with colleagues. The conference is an opportunity for attendees to learn the newest trends in fundraising, be part of a collaborative, faith-filled community and a means to help fulfil their mission.
