Christian Brothers Services to presents at National Association of Church Personnel Administrators

Romeoville, Illinois, April 22, 2019—Offering research-based expertise, Christian Brothers Services (CBS) will be presenting at the premier convocation for HR professionals in the church hosted by the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators (NACPA) to be held April 28 through April 30 at the Sheraton Gunter, San Antonio, Texas.

NACPA promotes leadership in human resources, finance and administration that models Gospel values, promoting justice in the workplace.

Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Terry Arya, will present: “Creating an Effective Work Culture in Today's World.”

This presentation, based on a current research initiative, explores how workplace culture is perceived by leaders and employees. The session reveals how culture can be changed to reflect increased employee involvement and looks at what impact an employees’ perception of psychological safety has on their workplace.

Best practices to create a culture that thrives will be shared. Implications related to recent social movements (i.e., #timesup and #metoo), generational difference and the need for cultural reform will be discussed.

CBS also is a platinum sponsor of the keynote presentation by John Carr, founder and director of Georgetown University’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life.

NACPA members, representing around 120-140 different arch/dioceses, religious communities and parishes around the nation, return to convocation each year not only for the ongoing education and peer relationship building but to come away with the solutions to the daily challenges and hurdles specific to the lives of an HR director in a church or diocesan office.
