John Tortolani
John Tortolani, MBA - Executive Director

As one of the founding partners of BMT, John has been providing financial consultation, both domestically and internationally, for religious and not-for-profit organizations for 40+ years. With his extensive experience in Public Accounting, his areas of specialization include financial management, planning, real estate and reconfiguration. John earned his Masters in Organizational Behavior from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York

Kelly Murphy
Kelly Murphy - Managing Director

Having joined BMT in 1991, Kelly currently serves a number of clients as their Director of Finance and is also the firm's representative for several European clients. Kelly is actively involved in a variety of long-term planning and reconfiguration projects for clients across the country and internationally. She is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Christine Ackert

Chris joined BMT in May of 2016 after 29 years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining BMT, she was VP Client Services/Marketing and spent twenty one years working for an independent investment advisor in New York City with attention focused on portfolio management compliance to socially responsible client guidelines. She received her MBA in Finance from Hofstra University and BA in Economics from Fairfield University.

Eileen Alexanderson
Eileen Alexanderson

With over 35 years of investment management experience, Eileen joined BMT in 2017 to support the manager research process and the needs of BMT’s investment consulting services client base. Having worked in an institutional asset management firm for 24 years, Eileen has also been a longtime member of a number of Investment Committees for Catholic institutions. Eileen earned a B.S. in Finance at St. John’s University as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

 
Karen Francisco
Karen Francisco

Karen serves as Controller and Director of Finance for several religious institutes and their sponsored ministries, including a Catholic High School. In addition, she is the Coordinator of RESAMP, a self-funded medical program for eight religious institutes. Karen worked in several finance-oriented positions before joining BMT in 1994. She received her BSA from Newbury College in Taunton, MA.

Lorraine Golio
Lorraine Golio, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

With over twenty years of experience, Lorraine joined BMT in 2015 to serve religious institutes in Human Resources. Before BMT, she served as the Director of Human Resources for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield and Mont Marie Health Care Center for twelve years. In this role, she oversaw all HR functions for 250 staff members across multiple facilities, including a long-term care facility, retirement residence, independent living housing, Child Care Center, and Congregational Offices. Lorraine holds a degree from the City University of New York and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

 
Dana Manganelli
Dana Manganelli

With over 20 years of investment management experience, Dana joined BMT in October, 2018 and is responsible for implementing and maintaining fixed income strategy in the oversight of BMT’s client base with management of their liquidity needs. Dana has worked in institutional fixed income at asset management firms for over 10 years then was the Director of the Treasury and Investments at the Trinity Church in New York City. Dana earned a B.S. in Finance and Investments at Babson College in Wellesley, MA

Constance Neeson
Constance Neeson, LSW

Since joining BMT in 2005, Connie has supervised BMT's Benefit Eligibility Management team in administering government program eligibility for 70+ religious institutes; provides consulting services to over 200 religious communities; and speaking regularly at the annual RCRI conference, as well as at gatherings of members of religious institutes, and CORT workshops. Her previous employment included 8 ½ years as a Medicaid caseworker, and five years as Benefit Eligibility Coordinator for the Sisters of Providence at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN. She is a Licensed Social Worker in Indiana, and is the primary author of the Government Programs Resource, published by RCRI. Connie is a graduate of Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.

Karol Cummins
Karol Cummins, MBA

Began working with BMT part time 1991. Karol earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance from Mercy College, and received her MBA in Accounting from Long Island University. Karol has served over 30 religious congregations in various capacities from Business Manager to Controller, and is currently serving several clients in the capacity of Controller with responsibilities which include accounting and computer software setup & implementation, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, insurance reviews and audit preparation.

Virginia Gladu
Virginia Gladu

Ginny joined BMT in 1989 and is currently serving as Director of Finance or Treasurer for several New England clients. She has developed a specialty in individual tax returns for religious, preparing and presenting financial statements, budgeting and forecasting. Ginny is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

 
Noreen Killeen
Noreen Killeen

Joined BMT in 1993, having served for four years as a Senior Staff Accountant with the accounting firm of Pannell, Kerr, Forster in New York. A Certified Public Accountant, Noreen also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Noreen's primary service area is in the preparation and presentation of internal financial statements. Noreen co-supervises BMT's completion of client's tax returns.

David LeGare
David LeGare

Dave joined BMT in February, 2020. He is a dedicated accounting professional who spent the past last eighteen years working with religious nonprofits. Prior to that, Dave held a number of management positions with companies in a fast-growth, pre-IPO environment. He believes the opportunity to serve in a religious setting was the answer to a call. He is pleased to further his service to the Catholic community with his BMT colleagues. Dave graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. An avid fan of Fighting Irish football, he remains confident a championship year awaits.

 
Kate McDonnell
Kate McDonnell, CPA

Kate joined BMT on a part-time basis in 2006. Prior to her BMT employment, Kate worked in public accounting for fourteen years. She has developed a specialty in auditing religious institutes and secondary schools. Kate also performs operational reviews of finance offices.

Beth Swiss
Beth Swiss

Beth joined BMT in 2000 after serving four years as the Director of Finance for the Sisters of the Cenacle, North East Province. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from CW Post-LIU. Beth serves as the Controller for her BMT clients and her responsibilities include: financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, insurance review and audit preparation. In addition, she is responsible for the preparation of individual tax returns for many BMT clients as well as assisting them with applying for government benefits.

 
Nadine Veletanga
Nadine Veletanga, CPA

Nadine joined BMT in 2004 after spending nine years with a New York CPA firm as an audit manager. A Certified Public Accountant, Nadine holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Nadine's primary service responsibilities include preparation and presentation of financial statements for a number of secondary schools and service as controller for several BMT clients. She also performs operational reviews of finance offices.

Cheryl Accinno
Cheryl Accinno

Cheryl Accinno has been with BMT since 2016. Cheryl serves as CFO to three religious orders. She also serves several domestic clients remotely. Her primary responsibilities are budgeting, financial preparation, and audit preparation. Prior to joining BMT, Cheryl was employed by the Diocese of Providence for sixteen years. She earned her MBA from Salve Regina University.

Holly Borzacchiello
Holly Borzacchiello

Holly began working with BMT in September of 2019. Prior to working with BMT, Holly worked with a Religious Congregation for 15 years. As Director of Finance, Holly was responsible for all aspects of Finance and Accounting as well as maintaining government benefits for the Religious and financial forecasting with TRENDS. She was a TRENDS trainer through RCRI. Holly earned her BS in Accounting from Dominican College in Orangetown, NY. She also serves as the current President of the Conference of Religious Treasurers for New York State.

 
Richard Ficarrotta
Richard Ficarrotta

Joined BMT in 2002. His primary responsibility is investment portfolio performance reporting and attribution analysis. He also performs information technology work for BMT and its clients and serves as office manager for a number of BMT clients. Richard received his BBA from Loyola University in management information systems.

Frances Fillmore
Frances Fillmore

Fran joined BMT in 2009, working in several finance-oriented positions prior to that. Fran now serves as Controller for a large religious institute and its sponsored ministries. In addition, she serves other Congregations in a variety of capacities and is the Administrator of the Social Security Program, which serves sixty religious institutes. She received her B.S. from Central Connecticut State University and is currently working towards a Masters in Accounting at CCSU.

 
Mark Fontana
Deacon Mark Fontana

Serving several religious institutes as a Director of Finance or Controller, Mark joined BMT in 2014. Prior to joining BMT, he held several Senior Management positions in banking, public consulting, and finance management for religious institutes. Mark completed his formation and graduate theological studies at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology and is a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Wilmington (Delaware).

Rich Juliana
Rich Juliana

Rich joined BMT in August 2022. He has over 30 years experience in Human Resources Management in financial services and health care. Most recently Rich was Director of Human Resources for a psychiatric hospital in Connecticut. He has an MPA from John Jay College, an MSW from Adelphi University and a BA from the City College of New York.

Andrea Nicotra, MS, SHRM-CP

Andrea joined BMT as a Senior HR Consultant in 2023 after spending eight years in the HR department at ArchCare, the Continuing Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York. Here Andrea provided resolution to a broad spectrum of HR issues while administering the policies and programs of the organization. Previously, Andrea worked for twelve years in financial services in the marketing department of a mutual fund company and as an Assistant Vice President of Deposit and Investment Marketing at a bank. Andrea holds a BBA from Baruch College and in 2021 completed an MS in Human Resources Management and Organizational Effectiveness at Manhattanville College. Andrea is a Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resource Management.

Stephen A. N-O. Badoo
Stephen A. N-O. Badoo

Stephen has over 15 years of experience in the not for profit field where he has held roles that involved donor management through accounting for a relatively active traded multimillion dollar endowment to Director of Finance & HR. Stephen joins BMT in a role that supports the Financial and HR management of the religious institutions he works with to fulfill their missions. In short, he is a numbers personality with a calling to help people. Stephen earned a B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting from the University of Charleston and a Master's in Business Administration from Marshall University.

 
Alyssa Pesce
Alyssa Pesce

Alyssa joined BMT in June, 2022 to work on site at RSHM/Marymount Convent as their HR Director and to provide HR Consulting services to religious institutions on an as needed basis. She has over 30 years Human Resources experience working for profit and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining BMT, Alyssa worked for 9 years at The American Lung Association as an HR Manager. Alyssa earned her BBA with a concentration in Human Resources from Pace University.

Mary Stares
Mary Stares

Mary Stares joined BMT in 2023 and has 20 years’ experience as a Human Resources Professional. She has occupied various roles within the corporate Human Resources function including Benefits Administration, Federal Compliance and Diversity Programs. As a consultant, Mary has provided support to clients from a variety of industries, overseeing Human Resources projects including the development of Affirmative Action Plans, Recruitment Tracking, Process Improvement & Policy Updates, Federal compliance evaluations and training to HR professionals and hiring managers across the United States. She possesses a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of Central Florida and is SHRM-CP and PHR certified.

Cindy McKay
Cindy McKay - Senior Consultant

Cindy joined BMT in 2005 after spending ten years with the Vigo County, Indiana, Division of Family and Children, working as a Medicaid caseworker. Cindy spent several years as a specialist in Institutional Medicaid. Cindy is a Senior Benefit Eligibility Consultant of the BMT Indiana office of Benefits Eligibility Management for Religious, serving a number of religious congregations. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Indiana State University, and also has training in accounting and tax preparation.

Nickolas Rush
Nickolas Rush - Manager

Nick joined BMT in January 2019, bringing thirteen years of experience working in Public Assistance within the Indiana Division of Family Resources, holding positions of State Eligibility Consultant and State Eligibility Manager. Previously he worked for four years as a Recreation Leader and Counselor in the Indiana Department of Corrections. Nick is a graduate of Indiana State University with a B.S. in Recreation and Sport Management.

 
Kathy Tanner
Kathy Tanner - Senior Consultant

Kathy joined BMT in 2010. Kathy came to BMT after 19 years working for the Indiana Division of Family and Children / Division of Family Resources. Kathy held positions that included Public Assistance Caseworker, Supervisor, and State Eligibility Consultant. Kathy also previously worked as a Correction Education Coordinator for Indiana State University, overseeing onsite college instruction enrollments for inmates of the U.S. Federal Prison in Terre Haute, Indiana. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Indiana State University.

Lisa Anderson
Lisa Anderson - Client Services Specialist

Lisa joined BMT in 2012 after serving five years with Xerox (outsourced manager of Public Assistance in Indiana) in the capacities of Learning and Development Specialist and Quality Assurance Supervisor. Prior to the State of Indiana privatizing their public assistance model, she served seven years with the Vigo County Division of Family Resources in the capacities of Public Assistance Caseworker, Senior Public Assistance Caseworker, and Family Case Coordinator. Lisa has also previously worked in the fields of Property/Casualty and Life/Health insurance. Lisa attended Southern Illinois University.

Melinda Allen
Melinda Allen

Melinda joined BMT in November of 2023 after 16 years in Public Assistance eligibility for the Indiana FSSA’s Division of Family Resources. Her extensive background includes collaborating with Elder Law attorneys, conducting thorough investigative interviews, and aiding Regional Management in addressing case processing challenges from inquiries made to legislative offices and/or clients via the DFR Regional Mailbox. Before her tenure at the DFR, Melinda contributed her expertise to the mental health sector, serving one of the region's leading care providers.

Sue Beasley
Sue Beasley

Sue joined BMT in 2015 after serving 8 years with the State of Indiana/Xerox in the capacities of Subject Matter Expert and Quality Assurance Analyst, ensuring accuracy of caseworker implementation of government benefits. Prior to privatizing the State of Indiana public assistance model, she served 7 years with the Indiana Division of Family Resources as a Public Assistance Caseworker, Family Case Coordinator, and State Eligibility Consultant.

 
Amy Meister
Amy Meister

Amy joined BMT in 2018. Amy has eight years of experience as a Medicaid Caseworker for the State of Indiana, Division of Family and Children. Amy also has nine years of experience working in Human Resources, where she ensured compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSA) regulations. Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Safety from Indiana State University.

Kathryn Pearman
Kathryn Pearman

Katie joined BMT in May 2021 as a Benefit Eligibility Consultant after twelve years working in Public Assistance eligibility for the Indiana FSSA's Division of Family Resources. While employed with Indiana FSSA's Division of Family Resources, Katie served the community in various capacities such as State Eligibility Consultant, State Eligibility Manager, andLocal Office Manager for the Vigo County Division of Family Resources; primarily responsible for oversight of local office operations and regional long-term care and waiver services eligibility management. Katie is a graduate of Indiana State University and holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Cynthia Schmidt

Cindy joined BMT in 2008. Cindy had previously worked for both the Vigo County and Parke County offices of the Indiana Division of Family and Children/Division of Family Resources, accumulating a total of 18 years of benefit assistance experience before joining the BMT team of Benefit Eligibility Management. Cindy also previously worked for a private contracting firm to screen hospital patients for various benefit programs.

Beth Trueblood
Beth Trueblood

Beth joined BMT in 2022 as a Benefit Eligibility Consultant, having worked 16 years covering multiple county offices for the Indiana FSSA Division of Family Resources. Beth held various titles, including Public Assistance Caseworker, State Eligibility Consultant, State Eligibility Manager, and Affordable Care Act State Eligibility Manager. Beth has also worked in customer service and as a case manager in the mental health field. She graduated from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Chrystal Turner

Chrystal joined BMT in 2018 as a Benefit Eligibility Consultant. Prior to joining BMT, Chrystal worked as a Social Services Specialist / Case Manager for 15 years, serving people impacted by HIV with limited access to the health care services. Chrystal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Governors State University. In her spare time, Chrystal volunteers with Triple R Pets, a rescue organization that specializes in the care of unadoptable animals.
