BIOGRAPHY
Maria Ribera has over 20 years of experience in Catholic education. Ms. Ribera joined Catholic School Management (CSM) in 2001 as an adjunct consultant providing consultative guidance in various areas, including working directly with schools for technology planning, development of research skills curriculums, implementation of curriculum mapping and evaluation of guidance and counseling programs. In ensuing years, she took over the coordination of CSM’s Assessment services and worked with various schools involved in CSM’s Strategic Management and Development Program. In 2014, she was named President of CSM, and serves as the chief operating officer and executive consultant. .

In 1992, Ms. Ribera began her teaching career as a classroom teacher at St. Bernard Catholic School in Eureka, California, where she also held administrative roles as Assistant Principal/Dean of Studies, Interim Principal, College Counselor and Academic Counselor. She was the Academic Technology Coordinator for San Francisco University High School, a private, independent school in San Francisco, California, from 2000 – 2002.

Ms. Ribera holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, a Master of Science in curriculum, instruction and technology from Nova Southeastern University and graduate certification in administration and supervision through John’s Hopkins in collaboration with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). She also holds California Clear Single Subject Teaching Credentials in art and Spanish.

She volunteers as an alumni interviewer for the Hotchkiss School, as well as Dartmouth College, works pro bono with the Institute for Educational Advancement in Pasadena, California, and was involved in fundraising development with the Mt. Shasta Education Foundation.
