Christian Brothers Services (CBS) has been notified of a data security incident involving Conduent. Conduent is a third-party service provider to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) that offers mailroom, payment, and other back-office support services.

Because of our relationship with BCBSIL and their relationship with Conduent, CBS members were impacted by the incident. It is important to note; there is currently no evidence of misuse or public disclosure of the data.

The incident affected Conduent’s systems— we are not aware of any impact to BCBSIL or CBS systems. Conduent is handling notifications and will offer free credit monitoring to any impacted individuals.
