Patrick Lynch, CFA
President / CEO
Patrick Lynch became President/CEO of Christian Brothers Services in 2022, bringing with him over 30 years of expertise in financial services and banking. His impressive record includes 21 years as Founder, President, and CEO of Chicago Equity Partners, once a division of Bank of America that evolved into an independent boutique investment advisory firm in 2000. During his tenure, Pat led the firm’s executive team, overseeing the CFO, Chief Investment Officers, General Counsel/CCO, and department heads of technology, sales, marketing, and client services. Prior to this role, Pat spent 10 years as Senior Vice President at Bank of America.
As the first layperson to hold the President/CEO title at CBS, Pat is deeply committed to upholding the company’s Catholic identity and Lasallian values. A firm believer in “paying it forward”, Pat has championed Catholic education throughout his career. He has served on numerous boards dedicated to education and philanthropy, including a 12-year tenure as Board member and Trustee of Loyola University Chicago, his alma mater. While at Loyola, he chaired the Finance Committee and served on the Executive, Compensation, Investment, and Audit Committees, helping shape strategy for hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue. Additionally, Pat was Vice Chair of Loyola’s Council of Regents and is a member of the Baumhart Center for Social Enterprise & Responsibility’s Leadership Council, helping to guide its mission for sustainable, socially responsible business practices.
Pat also served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at St. Ignatius College Preparatory School in Chicago, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Catholic Education Foundation, and as a Board member for Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Joliet.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago.
