Terry Arya has approximately 30 years of experience in the fields of marketing and business development. As Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer for Christian Brothers Services, Terry leads a dynamic marketing and business development function that effectively supports the organization’s mission and strategic objectives. She has a proven background in fully integrated marketing plans, business development, public relations, communications, social media, grant writing, fundraising, and business strategy.
Prior to joining CBS, Terry owned a marketing firm where her clients ranged from business owners and not-for-profit organizations to tourism entities and municipalities. Earlier in her career, Terry was the vice president of development for Marklund, a service organization for infant, children and adults with disabilities. She also spent 10 years serving as the nationwide public relations director for a national healthcare finance association.
Terry is a work culture leader with coaching experience in the areas of teamwork, accountability, time management, attitude, customer service, leadership, creativity, vision, and management. She has authored numerous articles on leadership topics such as leading by example, executive presence, core values and demonstrating expertise.
She is the recipient of several industry awards including honors for media campaigns, print advertising, community support programs, event planning, and outreach initiatives. Terry earned her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Lewis University, Romeoville, Illinois, and her bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. Terry is a long-standing member of the American Marketing Association and United Way of Will County’s Impact and Investment Committee. She also serves on the advisory board of Lewis University’s Organizational Leadership Department as well as its Entrepreneurship Center.
