CBS announces new CFO

Romeoville, Illinois, December 19, 2022—Christian Brothers Services (CBS) has announced that Patrick D. Feehan will join the organization as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on January 9, 2023. Feehan was named CFO following an extensive nationwide search and interview process. He will report to CBS President/CEO, Patrick Lynch, CFA.

Feehan, of Naperville, IL, will lead a team of 10 professionals within the Finance area of CBS, which operates in the Lasallian tradition of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.

As CFO, Feehan’s key responsibilities will include directing and overseeing the financial activities of the organization, including all divisions and a wholly owned subsidiary, as well as all the CBS-administered Plans and Trusts. He will act as liaison between CBS and each of the various Plans and Trusts, including providing oversight and guidance in accounting and auditing of each entity.

Working with the leadership team and finance staff, Feehan will oversee the preparation of the CBS annual budget, and be responsible for achieving its yearly fi­nancial objectives. He will also prepare the organizations fi­nancial statements, and develop relationships with financial institutions, investment team members, critical vendors and other outside professionals. Internally, Feehan will collaborate with the CBS Board of Directors, Trustees, vendors, Members, senior management and other levels of management to ensure sound internal control policies and procedures, and assuring that CBS operates in accordance with all service fee agreements, plan documents and procedures established by each Plan and Trust.

Feehan brings extensive experience in financial and operational management to the position. Most recently, he served as CFO for Patrick Engineering, a privately owned Architecture/Engineering firm in Lisle, IL. He has also held CFO positions at Home Access Health Corp., in Hoffman Estates, IL, and Organix Recycling, LLC, in Mokena, IL, and was Senior Director of Finance and Accounting at Waste Management, Inc., in Lombard, IL. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
