Christian Brothers Services Donates Backpacks to Local Students

Romeoville, Ill., August, 2016 - Christian Brothers Services (CBS) donated approximately 30 backpacks filled with school supplies to St. Andrew School in Romeoville, Illinois. The backpacks and supplies are being shared with students in need. School Principal Carol Albreski expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the school, faculty and the families.

Albreski said, "We feel extremely blessed by the generosity of Christian Brothers Services. The smiles on the children's faces as they opened their backpacks and saw the beautiful new supplies was heartwarming. Thank you again and God bless you and the wonderful work you do."

The backpacks project is part of Christian Brothers Services’ Demonstrating Lasallian Values (DLV) initiative. Brother Michael Quirk, FSC, Ed.D., president and CEO of Christian Brothers Services explained, " In the Lasallian spirit of helping the under-served, CBS volunteers to help support local organizations. The DLV initiative allows the company and its employees to give back to the community." DLV community service projects demonstrate each CBS core value: Lasallian, Humble Stewards, Servant Leaders, Relational and One Company.
