Jennifer Melville Trefelner, APR, CPRC, is the Director of Communications, Marketing & Social Media for the Diocese of Palm Beach.  Jennifer has been with the Diocese of Palm Beach for the past 15 years, serving as the Director of Institutional Advancement at John Carroll High School and as the Online Communications Consultant for the Office of Catholic Schools.  She possesses an Accreditation in Public Relations and is a Certified Public Relations Counselor through the Florida Public Relations Association.

The Director of Communications, Marketing & Social Media serves as the designated spokesperson for the Diocese in addition to managing media inquiries, public relations, and new marketing initiatives.  The Communications Office serves to keep the community informed of Diocesan initiatives, as well as initiatives from the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  In addition, the Office of Communications oversees the production of the weekly televised celebration of the Mass for shut-ins, the Florida Catholic newspaper (Palm Beach edition), Diocesan digital and printed materials, and will initiate a comprehensive plan to coordinate information disseminated on the Diocesan website and social media sites.

Jennifer is a member of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Counselors Network and has earned numerous awards for her accomplishments, including several FPRA Image Awards and Awards of Distinction.  She is also a member of the National Catholic Education Association Advisory Council and has been selected as presenter for several years at the NCEA Annual Convention and at the Institute for Catholic School Leaders.

Jennifer has been happily married to Joey, a fellow JCHS graduate, since 2002, and is the mother of Olivia, who attends St. Anastasia Catholic School.  Jennifer is very active within the community through numerous volunteer projects, is the Accreditation Chairperson for the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, a founding member of The Royal Palms of St. Lucie County, a member of the St. Anastasia PTO, and was the Entertainment Co-Chairman for the Pelican Yacht Club.  Jennifer is a graduate of Auburn University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of numerous honor societies and of the esteemed Cater Society.

Jennifer serves Catholic School Management and its clients on a part-time basis, specializing in comprehensive development programs, enrollment management plans, marketing programs, student recruitment and retention programs, annual giving programs, and communication plans, and social media programs.
