Richard E. FeitelRichard E. Feitel is a senior development consultant for Catholic School Management, Inc., a full service financial, management, educational, marketing and development consulting firm serving Catholic schools, parishes, dioceses and religious communities.  He specializes in comprehensive development programs and in the design and functioning of institutional advancement programs.  Additionally, Mr. Feitel specializes in communications programs, alumni and alumni parent programs, capital campaign feasibility studies, consultative guidance for successful capital campaigns and the implementation of annual giving programs.

In 1997, Richard Feitel retired as Director of Alumni and Development for Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut after serving the school for more than 29 years.  In his position at Xavier, Mr. Feitel was responsible for organizing and conducting the annual fund drive; planning and managing all fundraising events and reunions for the Xavier High School Alumni Association; publishing a quarterly newsletter for alums, present parents, and parents of alums; preparing and publishing an annual report; and actively seeking additional revenues for Xavier High School through corporate gifts, grants, and planned giving programs.  Additionally, Mr. Feitel successfully completed a capital campaign for both Xavier and Mercy High Schools in 1996.

Mr. Feitel served the Xavier High School community in various capacities prior to assuming the position of Director of Alumni and Development.  During his earlier years at Xavier, he served in administration, taught various courses and chaired the Social Studies Department from 1975 to 1981. Mr. Feitel also served Xavier as assistant track coach for 18 years, during which time his team compiled a record of 217 wins and only 2 losses.  During his last 15 years at Xavier High School, Richard Feitel also served as an adjunct consultant with Catholic School Management.

Mr. Feitel currently serves as Chairman of the Foundation Board for the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT.  He was elected to the Board in 2009 and has held the position of Chair since May 2011.  The Hospital for Special Care is nationally renowned for treatment of children and adults in the areas of pulmonary disease, acquired-brain injury disorders, complex pediatrics, neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord injury and disease, cardiac conditions, and autism.  During his years of service, HSC has completed two very successful capital campaigns: one to raise $5.9 million to construct a new Outpatient Center; and one to raise $600,000 to build an indoor riding arena at its Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center in Middletown, CT.

A native of Middletown, Connecticut, Mr. Feitel was educated in the Middletown public schools.  He holds both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Social Sciences from Central Connecticut State University.
