BIOGRAPHY
Jim Ceplecha has 40 years of experience working with Catholic organizations, with the last 31 of those years overseeing the defined benefit and defined contribution plans for Christian Brothers Services. In 2021 Ceplecha transitioned to his new role of Executive Director, Defined Contribution (DC) Plans at Christian Brothers Services.
The retirement services division provides retirement services to over 1,000 Catholic Church employers with over 40,000 participants and total assets in the plans nearing $2 billion.
He is an Affiliated Christian Brother. He is a Fellow in the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, a Board Member for the Diocese of Joliet Priests Retirement Plan, Board Member for the Lasallian Education Research Initiatives and the past chair of the Church Benefit Association’s Retirement Planning Group. Jim is frequent speaker at national conferences, including the Diocesan Fiscal Managers Conference (DFMC), Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI), National Association of Church Personnel Administrators (NACPA) and Church Benefits Association (CBA)
