BIOGRAPHY
Michael Lesiak has over 40 years of experience in the financial and executive fields. He joined Christian Brothers Services in 2009 as the Chief Financial Officer.

Mike started his career as a staff accountant at Legacy Professionals, LLP, formerly Thomas Havey & Company, LLP, in Chicago. In 1982, he began working for Wolf & Company, LLP, working his way up from senior to manager before being named partner in 1988. He accepted the position of chief financial officer at Hi-Temp LLC, in 1996 and was named president of the company in 2007. A spin-off of Hi-Temp moved him to Bluewater Thermal Services in 2008 as their senior vice president–procurement.

As the chief financial officer at CBS, Mike is responsible for supporting the growth of the company in its mission to provide outstanding services to Catholic institutes, dioceses, religious orders and employees in their insurance, retirement benefits and other financial consulting needs. He is also tasked with creating transparency in the finance function within the company and the eight Trusts it serves. He has developed a robust system of internal control and created systems that will provide solid oversight for both the company and its Trusts.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society.

He currently serves on the board of the Lasallian Mission Council, which assists the Midwest District of Christian Brothers in fulfilling its mission of providing a human and Christian education of the young, especially the poor. Mike is the past president of the Business Executives Association of the Chicago Area, the past secretary and member of the Downers Grove South Boys Basketball Boosters, the executive board past treasurer for the Des Plaines Valley Boy Scout Council and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
